Why 32-bit ?

Because i still need to run other applications on the same server that are suitable for 32 bits install; Furthermore 9.10 server uses a pae kernel that permitts addressing up to 64gb of ram even on 32bits, what my processor supports; I am also interested on a guide for 64-bits with ZM; Mysql server is said to make great advantage of the new arch, namely;

Why installing from subversion and all of that instead of just adding zm to the ubuntu repositories and run a simple apt-get install ?

Because i want the updated zm version 1.24.2, all the fixes on the svn + mmap support; if there is a more direct approach i am highly interested; tks !

I'm back!! Glad to see that my "HowTo" has gotten so much use.

I just wanted to give you a "heads up" that I am going to be writing one from scratch for 9.10 using FFMpeg and ZM from SVN.

You've done a great amount of work, but as before with my how-to, I always prefer to just setup the basics, and not bother with PostFix, etc.

I don't want you to think that I don't appreciate your efforts, because, you've done much of the work with this version, but I need a vanilla machine for use in my environment.

Hi Jsylvia007, by the way i dont know yr name..... nice to hear from you and tks for your kind comments; i am sure one article may help the other ! have a nice work ! keep in touch !!! --Henriquejf 20:44, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
