 Temp demo site
If anyone is looking at zm and wants to know how it works ive put my box open to public access. (temp for now but i wont take it down unless i have to). Now bear in mind im on std 512 braodband in the uk and that only gives me 256k upstream. My ip is a wan address and as such i think it only works in the uk
ip = 217 dot 154 dot 74 dot 22/zm/
This is a stock live cd install
I have 3 cams on it 2 on the front drive and another in the loft ready to be fitted to the rear.
The box is headless in my loft.
FYI its a athlon 2800+ (my pc "borrowed" from work)
512Mb shared graphics
30Gb disk
cams are a day night bullet with ir, std discreet mono and a cheapy dome.
I will be adding a ptz dome just to play with so when its there its there.

Thanks James,
You might look at masking out the upper corners of the Vista monitor. You're getting alot of alarm activity there.

Because the WAN addres is the public address (wide area network) that is on the internet. Anyone can get to it. I hope you have a good firewall

Login above does not work now...
BTW: Anyone looking for a firewall - look at webmin.com and install. Then install the turtlefirewall.com plugin. Very good!

The cameras are PC164C-EX from supercircuits.com
http://www.supercircuits.com/index.asp? ... rodID=4167
One has a 4mm pinhole lens (Driveway)
One has 5-50mm ajustable lens (court) Sometimes looks washed out due to setting on window ledge and cathes reflection off the window.
Both lenses have a DC auto iris.
Cheers,
Cordel

Wow, that works fast Cordel. What's your upstream bandwidth?
I was just on for a couple of minutes and spotted someone turning a car round at 2:08am (10:08 am where I live ) Event: Driveway-101961.
Incredible, live action at 3fps and 4,690 miles. Thanks for opening up the demo.

Yeah, No problem. It's just an Althalon XP 2000 with 512MB and 2 Hauppauge 64405
The software is the single CD FC3 distro I put together that I need to find an FTP server with bandwidth to host it (650MB iso). My up is 384kb burst I think but seems constant at just under 256KB. But for one person to download the ISO they are looking at >10hrs download.
I have started doing the same for FC4.
Regards,
Cordel
