Post TRENDnet TV-IP201W username and password?
Hi,

I like what I see so far with this software.

I have a TRENDnet TV-IP201W internet camera and am trying to setup zoneminder with it. The URL for the streaming video is http://192.168.125.50/viewj.asp and port 80. The camera has a usernam/password, but I don't see a field for it in zoneminder.

Any hints on how to deal with this would be great!

Thanks,

Ed.

You can enter it like this,

admin:admin@192.168.125.50 or whatever the address is for the camera.

Direct access to the JPEG image can be access using this format: http://cameraipaddress/cgi/jpg/image.cgi
MJPEG stream can be accessed at: http://cameraipaddress/cgi/mjpg/mjpg.cgi

I found that on the bluecherry site for your type of camera. Try one of those paths instead of what you have now. I'm thinking this one will work,

/cgi/jpg/image.cgi

The username and password part looks correct.

Hmmm... I tried both of those without luck. I also tried them just in a web browser too, but it said that it could not find the page. Is there a special way I need to save the changes, I just click save, and then reopen the monitor window.

Sorry I'm a big noob with this!

Thanks again,

Ed

Hi!

My settings, it took some evening to set up:

: HTTP
: Simple
remote host name: 192.168.1.14
remote host port: 88
remote host path: /videostream.cgi?user=admin&pwd=xxxxxx&resolution=32&rate=6
: 24bit
: 640
: 480

in the remote host path field, add ALL parameters(res, rate)! It’s significant!!!
So the parameters passed in the host path field, not in the remote host name field. I know it's an other type of camera, but may worth a try.
(just change the videostream.cgi)

For the higher resolution just add a line in to /etc/sysctl.conf and restart… (it was necessary for 640x480!)

Line:

kernel.shmmax = 268435456

For more info about res:

bye, Tamas Marlok, Hungary
