 2x5Mpixel and 6x300Kpixel camera
I need to install 2 x 5Mpixel (2592×1920) and 6x300Kpixel (640x480) cameras. I have only used Zoneminder with 640x480 ones before. I found the reference several places, that Zoneminder does not support event recording with any camera with higher resolution than VGA. Is it true? If so, is there a way to record the events in the higher, native resolution? Even if not the full blown 5Mpix, at least 2Mpix?
What machine specification can manage this load?
Thanks for any help, Istvan

 Re: 2x5Mpixel and 6x300Kpixel camera
I've recently installed two 800x600 cameras. Not MP but higher than 640x480. They work just fine in modetc mode with multiple motion detection zones.
Dont know about machine specs. I'm running an AMD 4 core (I forget the speed) with two 500GB drives in raid 1. I have 14 cameras. 2x 800x600 and 12 640x480 with multiple motions zones each. Recording at 5fps. System load is around 4.0 or less on average. CPU is about 70-80%.

Hi fi2. Thanks for your contribution!
Which cameras do you use? I'm using 10 Axis2100 (4 on motion, the rest just for viewing) on a Duron1,4Ghz with massive load (3-4). Unfortunately, that's definitely too weak hardware I guess...
