I've installed and configured ZM 1.25 and 5 cameras in Modect mode. I'm trying to get recording 5 secs before and 5 after motion detected, but I can't do.
Cameras sometimes write moments after motion or in the middle, sometimes like expected.

Can somebody provide me some information where I have to look (I'm playing currently with pre/post buffers and shm memory)?

You're on the right track. Pre-buffers and post-buffers need to be big enough to actually handle 5 seconds. (take the number of frames per second you're averaging and multiply it times 5 and that's how big your pre- and post image counts need to be).

However, it seems like your problem is that you're not detecting your motion accurately. You should try changing your zones to Blob detection mode and examine the alarm images to see which parts of the image Zoneminder thinks actually qualifies as motion. You might need to adjust your zones to be more sensitive.
