I need about 12 ipcameras and i have found a lot of cameras on chinese shops. Can someone of you tell me if the cameras are working fine with zoneminder.

 Re: Chinese IP CAMERAS
Not with such a vague question. If the camera will do a static jpg image, it will work with zm.
There are literally thousands of chinese ip cams on alibaba, many with no model number or accurate specs, and I know from experience these cheap cameras sometimes change firmware without notice, so two identical cameras from different batches might have entirely different firmware, paths and capabilities.
That said, several specific models have been mentioned on these forums. Search for 'dealextreme'

 Re: Chinese IP CAMERAS
All, I have two that I have currently rendered useless using the wrong interface software to update parameters. Make sure you keep track of your cd's for the Chinese cameras. No I am trying to figure out how to correct the mess I have created.

It depends unless they give you a demo camera and you try it there is no way to know. Ask most are more than willing to put a camera up for you to demo.

TENVIS EasyN Apexis
These are the main producers of cameras provided by ebay. I would like to see on the forum are the Chinese manufacturers of these cameras work with zoneminder.

 Re: Chinese IP CAMERAS
Are any of these known to work? Tenvis, for instance, seems to have several cameras that would work for me, but unfortunately I can't seem to find any info on 'budget' IP cameras like these.

 Re: Chinese IP CAMERAS
Here is one that I bought on ebay the EasyN FS-613B-M166 IP PTZ camera that works well with zoneminder. Look at my post: " http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=18795" available on ebay: " http://www.ebay.ca/itm/230681062800?ssPageName=STRK:null:IT" Hope that helps.

 Re: Chinese IP CAMERAS
Hello All,
I have a few Chinese cameras and can post the model numbers but they are OEM and have not mfg name or identifier anywhere. What protocol do you use for connecting to the IP stream and what 1. Source Type, 2. Remote Protocol, 3. Remote Method, and 4. Remote Host Path are you using, or do you use for this type of camera?
If the camera's will save images via FTP is there a way to get ZM to monitor and create modetect events from this stream of contigous files?
Thanks in Advance, I appreciate your input.
Mark
